To do this, the app does not use the services of a general Wi-Fi connection or Bluetooth. It creates a direct wireless link between devices (up to 5) connected to this small network. Once the devices are connected, the documents can be sent from one to the other. You can also clone one device and send all of its content to another.
The strong point of SHAREit is its multiplatform side which also includes Windows PCs.

And it is precisely this multiplatform side that is problematic because the connection between the devices is not 100% reliable. Since SHAREit does not use your Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth, everything goes through a direct connection between a hotspot created by the app and the other connected device.
Another disadvantage: the app does not tell you that you will need to adjust the configuration of your Wi-Fi, nor does it mention the hotspots created to share your data. Not to mention bugs. My first try was a crash. I had to restart SHAREit on both devices to transfer.
When SHAREit works, it works fast. Images are transferred quickly. Performance is uneven in the transfer of videos, which crashes quite often. After sending, the app turns off the wireless connection and switches back to the original connection. So, if you want to send new documents, you must go back to the Start box: restart the app and restore the hotspot.
The major disadvantage of SHAREit lies in the fact that it is not as easy as it claims, especially for novice users.
A promising app, to improve
On paper, the potential of SHAREit is obvious. But the lack of instructions and explanations leads to frustration, reinforced by manipulation that is anything but intuitive.
